Our Chakras are energy centres located within our bodies that are thought to play a role in our physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. There are seven main chakras, each corresponding to a different area of the body and associated with their own specific colours.

As a beginner, it can be overwhelming to try to connect with all seven chakras at once. A good way to start is to focus on connecting with one centre at a time, gradually working your way through all of them, cultivating a deeper understanding, the higher you travel.
Below is a brief overview of each energy centre and guidance on how to connect with each of them:
The Root Chakra is located at the base of the spine and is associated with the colour red. It is linked with feelings of stability, security, and groundedness. To connect with this chakra, try visualizing a red light at the base of your spine, or try standing barefoot on the ground to physically connect with the earth.
The Sacral Chakra is located just below the navel and is associated with the colour orange. It is tied to creativity, sexuality and emotion. To connect with this centre, try dancing or expressing yourself creatively, try spending time in nature and allowing yourself to fully feel and experience your emotions.
The Solar Plexus Chakra is located just above the navel and is associated with the colour yellow. It is known for personal power, self-esteem and confidence. To connect with your solar plexus, try practising affirmations or setting intentions and actively working towards personal goals.
The Heart Chakra is located in the center of the chest and is associated with the colour green. It is the master of love, compassion and connection. To connect with this chakra, try actively practising acts of kindness and compassion, or try spending time with loved ones and cultivating deeper connections.
The Throat Chakra is located in the throat and is associated with the colour blue. It is responsible for communication, self-expression and truth. To lean into this energy centre, try singing or speaking your truth, alternatively try journaling as a form of self-expression.
The Third Eye Chakra is located between the eyebrows and is associated with the colour indigo. It is associated with intuition, insight, and spiritual connection. To connect with this chakra, try practising meditation or spending time in nature, or try engaging in activities that allow you to tap into your intuition, such as Tarot reading or crystal gazing.
The Crown Chakra is located at the top of the head and is associated with the colour violet. It is tied to spirituality, enlightenment and connection to the divine. To refine your connection to this chakra, try practising mindfulness or participating in spiritual rituals. You could even try spending time in quiet contemplation or prayer.
It is not necessary to "open" or "activate" all of your chakras at once. It is more important to focus on maintaining balance and harmony within. With time and practice, you will find that you are able to connect with and understand your energy centres more deeply.
